John ArndtPresident & CEO
President & CEO
With over 40 years experience in the industry and 36 years spent with DWC, John serves as the President & CEO. His professional responsibilities include establishing the vision and direction for the company. John, who’s a LEED Accredited Professional, is confident that the DWC team can solve any construction problem. When John’s not providing technical assistance to the team, he enjoys traveling with his wife, extreme hiking and being the household handyman.
Craig FulcherVice President
Craig’s ability to meet deadlines and come up with alternate plans when problems arise has greatly contributed to his role as Vice President of DWC. He joined the DWC team 15 years ago and has worked on two projects that have received ABC’s Excellence in Construction Award. When Craig’s not working with clients and project managers, he enjoys spending time with his family, woodworking and gardening.
Melissa SmithsonBusiness Development & Marketing Manager
Business Development & Marketing Manager
Melissa’s experience in business development, marketing and operations spanning across several industries including retail, manufacturing, construction and food service is a great asset for DWC. A native of Nashville, she has worked for several prominent companies in the area such as Gibson Guitar, Johnson Controls, Bell & Associates, and Hunt Brothers Pizza. Prior to joining DWC, Melissa owned Smithson Marketing Solutions, providing marketing services to small and medium size businesses. She is involved in several networking and advocacy groups in Nashville.

Dean’s can-do attitude and problem-solving ability has greatly contributed to his role as the Manager of CARPENTERSPLUS. With over 30 years spent at DWC, his favorite part about his job is being challenged. Aside from work, Dean enjoys fishing, boating and spending time with his family.
Cory BramanOperations Manager
Cory has 15 years experience in commercial construction with-in the Nashville market. Cory comes to us as the new operations manager from Harvest Construction where he served as a superintendent for 5 years and as operations manager for 10 years. Cory is a native of Coldwater, Michigan and moved his family to Nashville in the summer of 2005. Cory enjoys furniture making, running, golfing but most of all, spending time with his wife of 23 years and his 3 boys.
Shanna HelmProject Manager
Shanna’s known for her technical background and the attention she pays to detail. She’s a LEED Accredited Professional that loves being able to see the physically transformed space at the end of a project. When Shanna’s not managing DWC projects, you’ll find her playing tennis or hanging out with her family which has recently grown to include twin boy and girl babies!

Tyler enjoys seeing projects go from just an idea to a final build. He thrives on solving problems and anticipating ways to make the process more enjoyable for the client. When he isn’t running projects, he enjoys golfing and traveling with his wife to feed his passion for photography.
In the workplace, John enjoys the challenge of day-to-day financial activities, meeting deadlines and helping others with HR items & issues. Aside from DWC, John enjoys coaching his son’s basketball and baseball teams. He also enjoys staying involved in his church as a Deacon and Sunday school teacher.

Stephen’s background includes building material sales, commercial framing and ground up construction. He has been involved in the industry since 1992. This diversity has provided a well-rounded view of commercial construction through several different perspectives. When away from work, Stephen enjoys boating with his family, hunting, fishing and playing golf.
Jonathan HayesProject Manager
Jonathan is a Nashville native and brings years of experience in renovation and commercial construction. Prior to returning to DWC, he served as VP of product development in the outdoor industry, as well as dabbling in sales. He is married with three children and enjoys hunting, fishing and playing golf when not spending time with his family.

Laura’s strong organizational skills and attention to detail make her well-suited for her role and its challenges. She says the best part of her job is that our people are great to work with! Laura is bi-lingual in Spanish and English. She has a young son, Alex and enjoys time with her family.

Kim’s Interior Design background, where managing multiple projects simultaneously is required, serves her well in her role as Project Management Assistant at DWC. She is ASID Certified and loves to watch as creative and technical solutions are applied to an interior space, realizing the client’s goals. When Kim is not assisting the project managers at DWC, you’ll find her spending time outdoors with her family, gardening and playing with her dog, Cosmo.

Leona has over 25 years of experience in accounting and has worked in a variety of industries throughout her career. She says the best part of her job is working for a company where she feels valued and appreciated. She is the mother of four daughters and two grandsons! Enjoys spending time with her family and decorating her new home.

Prior to joining DWC, Jeff and his wife were living in New York City where he worked for Madison Square Garden as a part of their construction and real estate finance team. Jeff brings a diverse background to Nashville and enjoys collaborating to solve problems and make things easier. In his spare time Jeff can be found reading, cooking, trying new restaurants or out for a run.
Nick MatteucciProject Manager
Nick joined DWC after working at a construction company in D.C. and moving to Nashville. He has an affinity for music and has always dreamed to live in the Music City. He graduated from the University of Kentucky. Nick plays guitar and enjoys movies and history.
Aaron MetzlerProject Manager
Born and raised in Chicago, Aaron received his Marketing Degree from Columbia College Chicago and worked as a commercial construction project manager for 8 years before moving to Nashville.
When he is not spending time with Danielle, his wife of 4 years, he likes fishing, watching Formula1 racing, and “The Curse of Oak Island” on the History channel.

Andrew joined DWC after working as a project manager with a local drywall company. Born and raised in Pepperell, Massachusetts, he move here after traveling for a large subcontractor. Andrew received his B.S. in Construction at Oregon State. He loves to be outdoors, woodworking, and cycling. Andrew explains why he got into construction – “worked growing up for a family masonry company and decided I liked working to shape the skyline”.
Josh KahlCARPENTERSPLUS Project Manager
CARPENTERSPLUS Project Manager
Josh joined the CarpentersPlus team after working at a construction company in King of Prussia as a foreman and then a project manager before moving to Nashville. He studied at Penn State University for structural engineering before leaving to pursue a more hands on role in the construction industry. In his free time, Josh enjoy taking his dog, Buck, on hikes around Percy Priest Lake and exploring all that Nashville has to offer.
Owen McCallumProject Manager
Owen joins the DWC team coming from Madison, MS where he worked for a commercial construction company in the Jackson area after graduating from the Building Construction Science program at Mississippi State University. Growing up in Louisiana, Owen loves to cook, hunt, fish, and play golf. Owen takes pride in his work, building a special relationship with clients, and looks forward to learning something new every day.
